The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated Trainer & Assessor to support the institute by delivering automotive qualifications listed below:
- Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Follow the course curriculum to deliver and assess the respective course in compliance with SRTO 2015 and National code 2018.
- Provide teaching and learning support as required to ensure students’ satisfactory course progress
- Contribute to the development of courses in a team environment to foster a culture that embraces continuous improvement and best practices.
- Ensure professional development is continuously maintained for industry and VET currency.
- Monitor the use of resources and contribute to their improvement.
- Participate in validations and moderations as and when required.
- Maintain confidentiality, composure, and professionalism at all times.
Ideal Profile
- This is a role that requires a highly capable, self-motivated person.
- You must have the will required to acquire the knowledge, experience, and skills to progress to higher levels of duties and responsibilities.
- You must possess a Certificate IV in TAE (TAE40116 Mandatory)
- You must possess an Automotive Qualification minimum at Cert IV level (Mandatory).
- You must have a minimum of 1 year of vocational education and training experience and having student management system experience is preferable.
- You must have the ability to use initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines
- You must have excellent communication skills written and verbal
- You must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- You must have extensive industry experience/currency.
- You must have knowledge of current industry trends and culture.
- You must have a demonstrated knowledge of training packages and curriculum development.
- You must be effective and have efficient time management skills with accountability for personal work performance
- You must have keen attention to detail alongside effective and efficient problem-solving skills.
- You must have the ability to easily mix well with others and satisfactorily carry out tasks in liaison with colleagues.
- You must have the ability to maintain a professional and friendly persona during encounters with stakeholders.
