About the role:

This is an exciting newly created role and an opportunity for an experienced Senior Analyst – Financial Data Scientist to join our Retail Markets team. As you delve into the analysis, you will have the opportunity to utilise your abilities to strengthen processes and procedures. This is a full-time opportunity, reporting to the Senior Manager Financial Assurance.

Duties:

• Oversee accuracy and governance over all aspects of accrued revenue and gross margin recognition.
• Assist in the building of a new Accrued Revenue model
• Monthly reconciliation of accrued revenue to billing to cash including detailed reporting around unbillable balances
• Monthly reconciliation of general ledger to billing system and receipts clearing account
• Conduct analysis and highlight potential improvements in current systems and processes

Skills and experience:

• CA or CPA Qualification
• Proficient with computer skills, strong Excel skills to work with large data sets
• Have high attention to detail and an ability to communicate complex issues concisely
• Demonstrated ability to understand key business variables in a complex and changing commercial environment
• Team player, resilient and can operate effectively in a changing environment

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Analyst – Financial Assurance or a Senior Analyst – Financial Data Scientist who is looking to work autonomously, in a supportive and professional environment.  It is an integral role within the organisation to reduce risk and assist in building a new accrued revenue model from our billing system and the ongoing optimisation of estimation techniques.
