    Queensland Law Society (QLS) is the professional body for legal practitioners, representing more than 11 000 members state-wide. We lead the legal profession by advocating for good law and supporting good lawyers.

    QLS has a full-time and permanent opportunity for a well-organised Events Coordinator to join their Membership and Engagement team. QLS hosts a variety of in-person, hybrid and virtual/online events including corporate functions, workshops, conferences, and online sessions both locally and regionally.

    About the role

  • Coordinate and manage all logistical aspects of a range of corporate events;
  • Provide event management services to all internal clients, and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders;
  • Procure and liaise with event contractors, suppliers and services in line with approved event expenditure and corporate policies and procedures, and maintain individual event working budgets to track financial performance;
  • Manage logistical arrangements for presenters, and manage attendee registrations, enquiries and communications;
  • Coordinate the production and sale of filmed resources;
  • Administrative tasks within the skill scope of the role.
  • About you

  • 1-2 years experience in event coordination, ideally running hybrid, in person, virtual and corporate events.
  • Experience using EventsAir (highly desirable) or similar event management technology.
  • Experience working for a membership organisation or in the legal industry (desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing demands whilst maintaining professionalism, high attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
  • Ability to act as a role model by demonstrating the behaviour and work ethic commensurate with a high functioning events team.
  • Excellent standard of written and verbal communication skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Ability to work out of hours and regional travel as required.
  • First aid certificate or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with CRM systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics (desirable).
