Datacom has an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Microsoft Licensing Consultant specialising in Microsoft SPLA (Service Provider Licensing Agreement) licensing that is not to be missed!

You will be joining an Award-winning SAM team within our extensive Australian Service Operations business.

As an expert in Microsoft Licensing, you will lead and manage the Microsoft SPLA Compliance for Datacom and work collaboratively with the other SAM team members. What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for an independent, proactive, very detailed, and enthusiastic team member who’s interested in being part of a larger group delivering high-quality SAM services. You’ll bring expertise developed over 3+ years in a Software Licensing, especially with Microsoft SPLA/Service Provider licensing. You will be undertaking a range of interesting lead activities relating to software licensing, audit defence, and compliance management with a focus on Microsoft Service Provider.

You will also be leading the delivery of the Microsoft Software Compliance Review for multiple customers from Commercial and Government industries.

Your ability to effectively communicate with our customers and work with all Datacom teams to develop and deliver quality solutions is critical to the success of this role.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will lead the Microsoft SPLA practise, work collaboratively with other Software Asset Management (SAM) team members, Software Licensing Consultants, and Customer account teams. Essentially, you will:

  • Act as Microsoft SPLA Licensing Subject Matter Expert.
  • Deliver Microsoft Compliance Reviews (Effective Licensing Positions) for Customers and Datacom.
  • Evaluate changes to the Microsoft Product Terms and Conditions, Service Provider Use Rights, and License Agreements to identify any breaches or risks for our customers and Datacom.
  • Apply knowledge of Microsoft licensing rules and use rights within SPLA Services.
  • Validate monthly consumption reporting is compliant with the Microsoft Service Provider Use Rights.
  • Identify and report on compliance and process issues that pose risks to customers and Datacom.
  • Develop, document, and present remediation recommendations to address SPLA compliance risks.
  • Provide quality service through adherence to Datacom’s Asset Management service delivery methodology and processes.
  • Utilise your SAM technologies expertise ideally Flexera’s FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS) and/or Snow License Manager.
  • Interpret and review data outputs from the SAM technologies and other tools to develop accurate and custom reporting.
  • Propose remediation and optimisation activities that may result in reduced compliance risk and/or financial savings and cost avoidance.
  • Liaise with service management, and customer teams to define, optimise, and develop SAM standards, processes, procedures, plans and controls to ensure appropriate service asset information is recorded and maintained.
