About the Role

The newly created role of IT Manager will be an integral part of the Technology team and across the business. This role will give you the chance to coordinate our efforts in managing vendors, IT infrastructure and systems, and improve AIB’s Cybersecurity position across the business.  

About You

The successful candidate would require significant relevant IT experience including at least 3 years in an IT operations management or supervision role.

You will possess demonstrated experience with IT management best practice across design, operations, governance, project management and customer service and experience with contemporary cyber security practices.

The successful candidate will have great people management skills, a supportive and collaborative style, encouraging growth through mentoring and training. Skills and Knowledge

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
  • Management of external vendors and third-party Service Level Agreements.
  • Lead the team responsible for the provision of help desk services for AIB staff and students.
  • Improve AIB’s security posture by implementing best practice (Essential Eight) mitigation strategies. Put in place review mechanisms to monitor implementation and ensure compliance.
  • Experience with various technologies, including; Windows, AWS, Office 365, Linux and experience with firewall, patch management, BackUp Services and Mail management.  
  • Develop a program of regular reviews and updates of security systems, such as firewalls, data protection controls, data storage, patching, encryption, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing etc. Oversee internal or external resources to ensure the proper deployment, configuration, and functioning of these systems.
  • Monitor the production environment 24 X 7 and ensure service availability.
  • Develop and implementing IT policy, procedures, and best practice guides for the organisation and well as developing a well-defined and documented plan of action to put into place if a security or other critical incident does occur.
