Epiroc IT is the common provider of Information and Technology Platforms, Foundations and Solutions to the Epiroc Group. It is a global organization with 8 regional IT hubs and more than colleagues. The organisation is divided into two business lines: IT Platforms & Foundation and IT solutions.

Epiroc Australia is currently seeking a driven Regional IT Manager to join our team with responsibility for the Southeast Asia region. The position will be based in Perth, Australia.

Job description

As the Regional IT Manager, you will motivate, inspire, and encourage your colleagues in Epiroc IT in the region, both from IT Platforms and Foundation as well as IT Solutions.

You will focus on regional and local adoption of Epiroc IT Global Product/Solution/Service in line with Epiroc IT strategy, standard, guiding principles while keeping business requirements in mind. You will be accountable for the Epiroc IT staff’s wellbeing in accordance with global and local Human Resource processes. You will also provide local services where needed according to global standards and local regulations.

In this position you report to Global IT Manager, Regional management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent Epiroc IT to clients and be the business channel to Epiroc IT
  • Oversee regional and local project activities
  • Together with the IT functions and teams transform strategies and road maps into regional common objectives
  • Create, maintain and follow up common KPIs for regional management
  • Maintain relationships with user community and stakeholders
  • Market and ensure the use of Global Product/Solution/Service in line with Epiroc IT strategy, standard, guiding principles
  • Provide user community with plans and give feedback to functional teams
  • Administrate resources where applicable to the role given
  • Create and get approval for functional roadmap of Regional & Local Product/Solution/Service in line with Epiroc IT strategy and security policy
  • Establish positive and supporting attitude within the regional teams
  • Always have security in mind
  • Regular meetings with business representatives
  • Cost management for local services and Regional IT costs
  • Work close with other Functional Area owners and IT governance teams to optimise services efficiency

    A proactive personality is desired, with a capacity to deliver in line with expectations and objectives as the work is conducted with full responsibility and flexibility within given frames.

    We also expect you to be positive, structured, service-minded and adaptable to change. You should also have good strong leadership, analytical and administrative skills as these are vital for this role.

  • Management of virtual teams
  • Organisation and people change management
  • Experience from leading positions in international organisations and projects
  • Excellent understanding of IT as an asset for business development
  • Business processes understanding
  • Well organised and able to operate independently in line with guidelines
  • Knowledge / Educational requirements

  • University degree in relevant fields or similar competence developed through working experience (both IT and Business)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local language if applicable
  • Knowledge and experience of strategic IT and standard IT processes and methodologies
  • Passionate about organisational change management and proven leadership skills
  • Highly motivated, result oriented and ability to prioritise
