This opportunity

Vision Network, a TPG Telecom Company, is a functionally separated business that operates a multi technology (fttx) layer 2 network, the largest non nbn network in Australia. Vision Network is growing, we are expanding all parts of our business, this role is underpins the short and long term success of Vision Network.

Primary role is to help identify, plan, design and project manage FTTP and g.fast deployments. Optimising the investment strategy to leverage our assets and speed to market in the right areas. This role requires an agile all-rounder, technically driven, project management structured and someone who can assess and look outside the realms to continuously add value to the growth of Vision Network.

Responsibilities

  • Turnkey design all internal “FTTP and FTTX MDU solution” (Active & Passive)
  • Work close with Developers and Architects to understand site specific requirements
  • Project Manage installation of FTTP MDU solution as per design
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any challenges throughout project lifecycle
  • Explore greenfield broadacre opportunities
  • Engage with carriers for all backhaul and end to end connectivity requirements
  • Manage FTTP Project Finance
  • Budgets (of any size, for the purchase of external contractor labour, consultants, professional services, equipment and materials)
  • Ensure all Vision Network System and Records are up to date
  • Identify new opportunity greenfield FTTP MDU
  • Identify and support FTTB and FTTP Rollout Program
  • Manage and build rapport with Internal Stakeholders (including Sales Operations, Mobile & Fixed Networks Division, Field Operations, Legal, Property,)
  • Manage and build rapport with External Stakeholders (including Developers, Contractors, Consultants, Vendors, Other Carriers, Utilities, LGA, Property Owners and Strata / Bodies Corporate) to mitigate delays during deployment
  • Knowledge and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Telecommunications, Project Management.) 
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in Telecommunication fibre network deployment. (FTTB/P deployment will be highly regarded)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Project management running complex delivery solutions
  • Organisation skills and the ability to manage and meet competing deadlines
  • Confident managing stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong business acumen to liaise with all areas of the business
  • Understanding of Telecommunications industry regulations. (Telco Act)
