The Role and the Team

Based out of Sydney Australia, Proofpoint is looking for a self-starting, responsible, mature, highly-motivated renewal account manager. This person must be able to work well with a team of sales account executives, sales engineers and support management to ensure the satisfaction of our existing customer base and secure their subscriptions.

The Renewal Account Manager will interact with small to large scale enterprises and partners at senior levels, as well as with technical staff within the traditional IT organization. The successful candidate will have sound sales experience and excellent business acumen blended with strong interpersonal and presentational skills.

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years driving a Renewals process on a high volume team
  • Driving the qualification, quoting, and Salesforce processes to bring renewals to a close
  • Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships at the executive level
  • Working cross functionally with various internal teams such as Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Channel, Customer Success Managers, Finance, Legal, Manufacturing, Operations, and Professional Services
  • Proactively identify customer issues, work with the larger Proofpoint team to resolve them
  • Forecast daily, monthly, quarterly accurately via Salesforce and excel
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s value
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate Proofpoint resources to execute a complex sales strategy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web conferencing tools
  • Ability to use and other online tools effectively
