At GHD, our business is undertaking a digital transformation in its use of tools, processes, and technologies. We are embracing cloud technologies and have significant new and existing projects underway across all regions in which GHD operates. 

Working with the Information Services (IS) Team Manager Tasmania & Northern Australia,this position will see you providing a high level of technical support on supported GHD technologies, applications and platforms to enable the delivery of work to GHDs clients. 

Working within IS, this position will see you involved in: 

  • Complete assigned tasks via the ticketing system, Manager and othersources to meet or exceed service levels 
  • Effective diagnosis and resolution ofclient issuesto minimise recurrence 
  • Maintain professional, friendly and helpful interactions with clients at all times 
  • Accurately update and/or log all tasks/client requests in the ticketing system 
  • Effectively prioritise tasks to ensure service levels/deadlines are met 
  • Report identified risks toyour managerin accordance with the GHD Risk Management Framework 
  • Escalationandcommunication ofincidents to other relevant internaltechnology teams 
  • Work collaboratively with technology teams
  • Maintain integrity and governance by adhering to standard service desk proceduresandsecurityprotocols 

    • What you will bring to the team:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, key hardware and software applications For example, Microsoft Teams, Outlook
  • Knowledge of network cabling and TCP/IP networks, Active directory
  • Experience in a helpdesk/desktop support role or similar
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and a passion for helping people 
  • Industry Certification (ie ITIL, MSCE) would be desirable 

    • Note – This position is based in Townsville and will require you to travel between our GHD locations as required at short notice. These offices include Alice Springs, Atherton, Cairns, Darwin, Gladstone, Mackay, Mount Isa and Rockhampton.
