Po2 Graduate Chemist

About the Role

Our Client, is a statutory authority of the Queensland Government. They are currently seeking a Graduate Chemist (PO2) to join their team, for a 6-month assignment with possibility of extension. This role will include high volume testing of biological and non-biological samples using wet chemistry techniques and instrumentation.

This is a great opportunity for a junior chemist to gain valuable experience. No industry experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.

Skills & Experience:

To be considered for this role, please submit a current resume addressing your suitability to the following requirements:

• Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry is essential;
• Demonstrated laboratory technical skills in wet chemistry and analytical techniques;
• Experience with HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, UV-VIS, titrations, gravimetric and/or colorimetric analysis is desirable;
• High attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills;
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent time management skills;
• A can-do attitude is essential;
• Knowledge of operation, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
