Opportunity

Great opportunity to join a federal government Agency’s Cybersecurity team on the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) side. Excellent career opportunity to work with the best for an intermediate level candidate with minimum 2-3 years’ commercial ICT Cybersecurity GRC.

Ongoing day rate contract, market rate, Geelong or Canberra, with hybrid work from home flexibility.

The Role

Work with the Risk team and Cybersecurity Compliance to ensure ongoing compliance with policies and procedures

Design and complete Cybersecurity Compliance Risk Assessments (RA’s)

Build and maintain the controls matrix in alignment with multiple compliance frameworks and standards

Prepare compliance reports and status reports, identify issues, and report to senior management

Support key business initiatives by identifying security and compliance related risks

Assist with various ICT internal and external audits, and their remediation efforts

Ensuring internal compliance (including ICT, vulnerability scans, annual training) are completed

Analyse the impact of vendor assessments and assist with the ICT vendor management program

Communicate to senior management, through reports, presentations, metrics and other documentation, any cybersecurity risks identified and mitigated

Requirements

2-5+ years minimum in Cybersecurity GRC

CISSP/CISM and tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or similar

Knowledge of Government Security Frameworks and Government Cloud – eg ISO27001, NIST, Essential 8

Knowledge and experience in enterprise information, cybersecurity processes, concepts and best practice

Australian Citizen with ability to obtain Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) AGSVA Security Clearance

Demonstrated experience reporting to senior executives
