  • Permanent Part Time Position – 6 days per fortnight: Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 9.30am – 1.30pm
  • Fixed term contract available: May 2023 – February 2024: Wednesdays: 9.30am – 1.30pm

  • We are currently looking for an experienced and versatile Front of House Assistant to work at The Waterford Apartments and Carmelite Retirement living, both located in the leafy suburb of Myrtle Bank. 

    About the role

    The Front of House Assistant will undertake general Cafe duties to support the provision of high quality service delivery, working as part of the cafe team and within the relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards.

    Daily duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in serving quality cafe meals for residents, staff, visitors and functions
  • Undertaking general kitchen duties
  • Liaising with staff of all levels in particular cafe team, residents, visitors and the general public
  • Assisting other members of the cafe team as required
  • Participating in activities that measure the quality standards and residents’ satisfaction of the catering services
  • Supporting and providing guidance to new team members

    The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Holds responsible Serving of Alcohol Certificate
  • Experience in the preparation, delivery and serving of meals
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow policy, procedures and other guidelines and standards
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to build strong internal relationships and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Applicants with a relevant qualification in Health support services and / or Food safety will be highly regarded
