About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Systems Operations Engineer to join our dynamic IT team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to a supportive Cloud Services Manager, you will manage the day to day running and support of Alinta’s cloud Hybrid environment in Azure and AWS and on premises, using processes and tools that enable and optimise delivery of new Cloud Services supporting business operations. 

Duties: 

• Ability to travel to field sites, installing Server & Network equipment as required.
• Work across Enterprise Technology teams in a roster for on call support.
• Ensure delivery of projects to establish new Cloud Services and migration of workloads onto new Cloud Platforms – AWS, Azure and Office 365 technologies.
• Deliver support for integration and support of applications on Alinta hosted systems as well as cloud SaaS offerings.
• Strive to reinstate systems supported by Cloud Service operations as fast as possible and mitigate any negative impact on business operations, making sure that the agreed levels of service quality are maintained.

Skills and experience: 

• Strong experience supporting IT systems including Windows Systems, Active Directory, Backups, Storage, Virtualized environments, and Patching.
• Strong technical knowledge of Cloud Service technologies and architectures specifically Azure and AWS environments.
• Ability to implement new support strategies, tools and monitoring cost savings, service improvement and improved system uptime.
• Strong relationship building skills, business acumen, a strong customer focus and innovative thinking.
• Experience with supporting systems hosted on IaaS and PaaS platforms including Microsoft Windows Servers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cloud Systems Operations engineer who will work closely with the Cloud Services Team, Enterprise Technology & Operational Technology teams to ensure the effective delivery of the Cloud Platforms Operations to Microsoft Server, AWS, Microsoft Azure and Office 365 technologies and associated ecosystems.
