It Network & Systems Engineer

Davidson Technology have partnered exclusively with a leading charter airline located at Brisbane Airport. This ASX listed company provides charter and contract services to the mining sector, as well as tourism, corporate, sporting, educational and government clients.

Due to department expansion and growth, we are seeking to appoint an IT Network & Systems Engineer on a permanent, ongoing basis. This role will be based at Brisbane Airport and will require 100% on site work.

About the Role
In this role, you will have overall accountability for the implementation, maintenance and monitoring of all infrastructure/cloud, network, security and telephony for our client whilst ensuring the performance, stability, integration and appropriate cyber security measures are in place and well managed.

You will manage a number of MSPs, looking after critical infrastructure and applications and you will ensure the partners are completing activities as contracted, but also meeting expected business expectations and service level agreements.

You will be responsible for a wide variety of technology and toolsets that include Azure, Citrix, VMWare, Cisco/Meraki, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Firewalls, Web & Mail Security, Vulnerability Management, Mobile Device Management, Telephony, Monitoring & Alerting and Cloud Security.

You will also assist with the architecture and design for all new and modifications to existing solutions when implementing upgrades, changes or modifications, whilst having a strong focus on ensuring any modifications within the environment are secure, stable, efficient, have integrity and are fully monitored and tuned.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience as a System Administrator, Systems Engineer or Network Engineer (5+ years)

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Server 2008-2019 and Azure AD

Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and internet standards

Experience working with large hybrid cloud environments such as Azure AD, O365, VMWare, HyperV, ESXi and the connectivity between them

Extensive cloud migration and support including SaaS, PaaS, BUaaS, UCaaS, VCaaS including cost management and optimisation

Experience managing and configuring firewalls and cloud security such as FortiGate

Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing Identity Management and Multi-factor authentication platforms (SAML, SSO, OAuth)

Experience with Active Directory Toolsets (e.g. Adaxes)

Experience supporting telephony, video conferencing and audio visual systems

Ability to cope within a changing environment

Ability and willingness to respond to “out of hours” incidents and support business changes

Willingness to contribute to training, knowledge sharing and mentoring of less experienced members within the team

Current Driver’s License

Ability to pass a Police Check

Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Certifications/qualifications in the below areas are desirable, but not essential:

Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science or similar

Microsoft and Cloud (Azure, 365 Certified, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP etc)

Cisco/Meraki Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CMNO (ECMS1/2))

Firewall Certifications (such as FortiGate)

ITIL

Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Please note: This role requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and to be able to work 100% on site near Brisbane Airport.
