About the role

The project is working with a team to improve reporting through a transition state, based on standardised periodic data extracts and storage, that they can point existing and new reporting tools at. Reporting is mostly via Power Bi views and dashboards, connecting to richer periodic data captures, live data sources and/or improved data repository infrastructure.

The client is seeking someone that is able to work with basic tools like .csv data captures and templates driven in Excel pivot tables/charts, creating Power BI templates, writing queries/scrips etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evolve existing and develop new data visualisation and/or reporting tools related to Integrity matters – complaints, investigations, disciplinary processes and performance management.
• Develop and implement systems and processes to ensure the integrity, accuracy and reliability of data relating to reports and data visualisation tools.
• Contribute to the reporting of complaints, investigations, discipline, compliance and performance data for use by executive management of the departmental officers and external agencies and in providing Ministerial and associated briefing material.
• Interrogate and analyse data sets for the purpose of identifying and reporting on trends and issues to inform the development of targeted training and advice.
• Liaise with internal clients and stakeholders including other government agencies with a focus on a high level of client service.
• Prepare written communication and briefing notes for correspondence and meetings, reporting on activities such as complaints, investigation, and disciplinary matters.
• Establish effective working relationships with other agencies and clients through the provision of high quality, accurate, authoritative consultancy services, and timely advice to management, clients and staff on workforce conduct and performance reporting issues.

Criteria:
 

• Demonstrated experience working with basic tools like .csv data captures and template driven Excel pivot table/chart type.
• Experience writing great queries/scripts regardless of data source or visualisation tool
• Demonstrated experience contributing to defining/writing report report/analytic specifications.
• Demonstrated experience creating Power BI templates, and understanding and/or mapping underlying data capture, extraction, transformation, and storage for Power BI reporting.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
