Your new role:
The InformationTechnology Coordinator is responsible for managing the provision andenhancement of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure to the organisationand will lead the Information Technology Team in the delivery of acomprehensive and competent IT service management function.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage the efficient and effectiveoperation of communication technologies including server, storage, security,backup and recovery, network (local and wide), desktop support (PC, laptop andmobile), licensing and knowledge base.
- Provide strategic and operationaldevelopment, support and monitoring of the ICT service desk, communications andsystems.
- Oversee the delivery of IT projectsusing Council’s project management methodology, including project scoping andestimate preparation.
- Oversee Council’s Cyber Securitystrategy and environment, ensuring systems and processes are secure, regularlyaudited and reviewed in line with the evolving threat landscape.
- Assist to develop and implement ICTplans and strategies to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement,and challenge and motivate providers to optimise service outcomes to enhancesustainable ICT throughout the Council.
Whatyou will need to succeed:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or post graduate qualificationsrelating to Information Technology; And/or substantial work experience relevantto the role including the management of complex ICT projects that demonstrateutilisation of key skills associated with your recognised project managementcertifications, such as time management, planning, financial, andadministrative skills;
- Demonstrated leadership experience including the ability toinnovate, provide direction, mentor and support a multi-disciplinary team ofpeople working in a highly visible area requiring high quality results oftenwithin tight timeframes, while maintaining a positive team culture; and
- Class C Drivers Licence
