Our client, a trusted independent national body that brings government and industry together is seeking an Executive Assistant based in Canberra CBD.

About the role

As an Executive Assistant with the organisation, you will be responsible for providing executive support to two General Managers, administrative and organisational support on a range of tasks, projects and/or programs. You will add value by being highly organised and professional with the capability to anticipate needs and thrive in an ever-changing environment, proactively supporting the objectives and goals of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an awareness of the activity and commitments of the Executive Leadership team
  • through collaborative interaction with other Executive support staff
  • Support the Executive Team with scheduling of appointments and management of electronic
  • calendars, and preparation for day-to-day commitments as required
  • Provide high level support to the human resources function in accordance
  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials, and exercise discretion
  • when interfacing with all stakeholders
  • Triage correspondence for appropriate action or dissemination
  • Initiate actions arising from Executive meetings or otherwise assigned by the Executive as
  • required
  • Manage, coordinate, and arrange travel and travel-related activities, including hotel booking,
  • transportation, and meal coordination
  • Monitoring and evaluation data management
  • Maintain an efficient and professional office environment including supplier and service provider
  • relationships, agreements, contracts, ordering within budget etc.

About You:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant and/or Personal Assistant working and office administration
  • Demonstrated experience in Executive Level procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency and expertise with contemporary office and collaboration software applications, internet communication tools and databases to accomplish tasks
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and making capability and good judgement
  • Commitment to deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • An appreciation for confidential matters and discretion, along with high levels of professionalism.
