The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Personal Assistant to the General Manager to join the Australia West team based at Thiess’s West Perth office. This role directly supports the General Manager and provides general office management and administration support to the broader team.

About The Role

Key responsibilities:

  • Diary management including planning, organising appointments and coordinating meetings
  • Manage and action electronic mail on behalf of the GM
  • Screening and directing telephone calls
  • Providing support with word processing, spreadsheets and data entry
  • Preparing, formatting and collating executive reports
  • Preparing presentation materials
  • Processing personal expense claims and office invoices 
  • Management of all travel bookings
  • Management of financial activity, monthly cost reporting, accruals and forecasting
  • Raising requisitions for approval and preparation of purchase orders in JDE
  • Maintenance and administration of Microsoft SharePoint, including training and supporting the business users in their day to day involvement in SharePoint Sites
  • Assisting the Human Resources team with recruitment activities as and where required
  • About You

    To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated skills coordinating an Executive’s schedule and supporting a team
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Intermediate Microsoft Sharepoint & Office 365 skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A high attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to your work 
  • Proven ability to manage upward, both internally and externally
