Laboratory Technician – Concrete (tamworth) at Division: BORAL RESOURCES (COUNTRY (Tamworth, NSW (NSW))

Job Description

Boral are currently seeking an organised and experienced individual to join the team as a Laboratory Technician in Tamworth.

The position will largely involve field-based sampling of concrete and quarry products across a wide range of projects, from domestic work through to high level projects such as Bridges, Dams, roads and other large infrastructure projects.

Duties include:

Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals
Liaise with technical and sales staff in relation to internal/external customer requirements
Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operation
Maintenance of the Laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirements.

Skills & Experience:

A commitment to safety and quality
Previous experience in a construction materials testing facility
Relevant tertiary qualifications in laboratory operations, science or another relevant discipline e.g. Civil, Chemical or Materials
Experience with computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data
Ability to work unsupervised
Good time management and organisational skills
Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards
Strong analytical skills with a strong customer focus
A valid NSW Drivers Licence
