The Position

St John of God Bunbury Hospital is a 145-bed private hospital, providing health care to the Bunbury community and those that live in the south west of Western Australia. Bunbury is recognised as a cosmopolitan regional City and is rich in its art, culture and heritage boasting a number of natural and tourist attractions and has something for everyone.

The Quality, Risk & Patient Experience Manager works in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the quality and clinical risk team and program, while providing direction and leadership in the quality improvement, clinical safety and consumer partnership space. The successful applicant will have a high understanding and previous experience in quality improvement and clinical risk management in a health care setting. You will have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and facilitate a multi disciplinary team.

This is a permanent full time position. The successful candidate will work 76 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE).

The successful candidate will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge, expertise and achievement of accreditation and private hospital licensing requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in quality improvement and clinical risk management in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate the work of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence as a change agent.
  • Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse information and provide reports relating to findings.
  • High level of technical competency and computer skills.

Desirable

  • Relevant post-graduate tertiary qualifications in a health related field.
