About the Role:
Reporting to our Cyber & Defence Security Manager, we are seeking a Cyber Incident Response & Threat Intelligence Lead to supervise our team of Cyber Security Analysts to respond to cyber-attacks, network intrusions, and computer crimes.
The primary responsibility of this role is to be a hands-on leader and will be ideal for someone currently working in incident response as a service provider but desiring to move away from consultancy to focus on the quality of the service provided to the businesses affected by the incident.
Your typical day could look like:
• Manage all aspects of technical incident response from initiation to conclusion.
• Assess the nature of the incident and determines what resources are needed to resolve the situation and restore service.
• Coordinate all efforts to contain and resolve the incident.
• Lead communications and conference calls with the team, stakeholders, customers, and others to provide updates.
• Document all activities occurring during the incident following policy and using established methodologies.
• Conduct a root cause analysis for each incident to define follow-up action items and to make recommendations to stakeholders.
• Manage Security partners, services and cyber insurance providers to adhere to Nova processes and policies.
• Manage a team of cyber analysts in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• Ensure Team milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
What we would expect from you:
• Minimum 3+ years of information security/cybersecurity experience
• Experience in handling cyber incident response and threat intelligence.
• Extensive knowledge of business risk, risk assessment and risk-based decision making
• Ability to mentor a growing team as well as working in an international space.
• Ability to gather data, investigate and analyse information while being able to draw conclusions and issue recommendations.
• Able to communicate security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences (in business terms), including board level
• Previous experience in crisis management will be a good add-on
• Knowledge of security, risk, and attack frameworks such as Mitre
• Relevant technical qualifications such as Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or incident response certification will be highly desirable
• Australian citizen with the ability to gain a Negative Level One (NV1) security clearance
