Senior Technology Risk Analyst

The opportunity

As the Senior Technology Risk Analyst, you will be accountable for the operational activities supporting effective implementation of the Risk Management Framework!

You will play a key part in:

• Working with the Risk and compliance team and heads of risk
• Act as a second line of defence
• Undertaking field work and data analysis to assist with providing meaningful information to the Boards and business.

This is a permanent full-time position, based in Melbourne/Adelaide/Brisbane/Sydney office. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home)

How will I help?
You will add value by:

• Be an advocate for a robust and transparent risk culture and lead by example.
• Develop and maintain a strong rapport with business contacts.
• Assist with implementation of the Risk and Compliance Plan that includes risk workshops, compliance obligations, Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), incident management framework, controls assurance program, risk register reviews etc.
• Be accountable for control verification, data analysis, KRI assessments and interpretation
• Ensure escalation thresholds and triggers are enforced.

What do I need?

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology/Information Security and Risk Management preferred
• Risk Management Accreditation (RIMS, RMIA or similar) or CISA/CISM accreditation from ISACA
• 5+ years’ experience in Risk Management roles in large organisations in financial services, insurance and/or health care.
• Experience in contributing to risk workshops; and
• Experience in effective control verification and associated documentation.
