What you’ll contribute to

The Assistant to the General Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the General Manager and Senior Managers by coordinating divisional functions and ensuring they are optimally supported in their role, thus enabling them to deliver their strategic goals and achieve divisional objectives.

The role is part of the Northern Region Division, which is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of vehicle sales, fleet, after sales, marketing, Dealer relationships and local franchise development activities in order to bullet proof the Dealer network and achieve Guest satisfaction, vehicle and parts sales & service volumes, market share and profitability objectives.

This is a Permanent Full time role and is a based in Acacia Ridge

How you’ll make an impact

  • Coordinate the General Manager and Senior Managers diary, delegates and declines as appropriate to ensure their time is effectively utilised and prioritised and travel time is kept to a minimum. Monitors and coordinates all incoming and outgoing correspondence and ensures the General Manager is up to date on all current business issues.

  • Maintain the day-to-day operational matters of the division by liaising with internal and external stakeholders in relation to divisional business activities and provides advice on behalf of the General Manager where appropriate. Resolves any queries and issues, and escalates matters to minimise risk.

  • Support the General Manager and Senior Managers in coordinating meetings and events in relation divisional activities and visitors.

  • Implement agreed processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to achieve divisional objectives. Ensures any changes to processes and procedures are accurately documented and communicated.

  • Assist in the gathering, summary and analysis of information in order to prepare documents and compile reports on behalf of the General Manager and Senior Managers. Ensures information is accurate and delivered on time and to schedule.

  • Undertake project planning for kaizen and new initiatives, achieves project milestones and breaks down complex tasks and integrates divisional matters into the overall project plan.

  • Degree qualification or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years’ accumulative experience.

  • Strong organisation and time management skills

  • Experience in project management and reporting desirable

  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels

  • Understanding of the business and its commercial drivers
