Senior Product Manager, Next Gen Retailing

What you’ll be doing:

As the Senior Product Manager, Next Gen Retailing “NGR” you will be responsible for developing and driving the Virgin Australia Merchandising product development vision and strategy. You will focus on promoting revenue growth and reducing cost of service through ensuring the NGR teams deliver on the Merchandising product vision including the target markets and direct and indirect channel needs.

This will include but not be limited to;

• Defining the Merchandising product vision, articulated through a product strategy, roadmap and prioritised backlog that is clearly communicated with stakeholders 
• Ensuring the commercial and customer objectives for the product experience are defined for the NGR Merchandising Platform.
• Define, measure, report and achieve KPIs at a product, portfolio, departmental and group level
• Virtually lead product owners across the related Virgin Australia portfolio of product experiences to ensure strategic alignment and delivery of future Merchandising releases and or enhancements 
• Managing the product backlog including prioritisation through value/effort assessments, financial modelling and identification of customer experience improvements 
• Build solid internal and external (Vendor and supplier) stakeholder relationship to position Virgin Australia as a key business partner

Who we’re looking for:

You will have significant experience in Airline retailing product development. You have strong knowledge and understanding of airline distribution and the retailing techniques and will be well versed in NDC merchandising ecosystem to enhance trade partner, aggregators, and travel agency adoption. You will have highly developed stakeholder management skills with ability to interact at all levels of a complex organisation as well as with external stakeholders. You will have a data driven approach using analytics to identify opportunities to improve capabilities. You will be well versed in agile environments including leading agile projects and cross functional teams.
