Your role

You’ll be a part of our Desktop & Mobility team based in Perth, using technology design and implement production ready infrastructure for the delivery of new technologies. As a Systems Engineer reporting to the Lead Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the current in-house systems in order to deliver a consistent and available service to the Firm and maximise the benefit of its investment.
  • Integrate servers or services into enterprise systems, coordinate and perform in-depth testing, propose and create system design models, and create documentation of processes.
  • Manage key relationships internally and externally including IT Department managers, Corporate Services, software and hardware vendors, their channel partners, and systems integrators and resellers.
  • Plan, organise, secure and manage resources for assigned projects to achieve a specific goal.
  • Provide escalation support, undertaking immediate effort to restore failed services and if necessary, request eternal support.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity however flexibility matters at Allens, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.

The salary range on offer for this role is between $85,000 and $95,000 (exclusive of superannuation).

About you

You will have:

  • Experience recommending, planning, and delivering new technology
  • Hands-on experience and proven methodologies in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Knowledge of current standards such as ITIL, Agile, Prince2 and current technical platforms associated with end user system technology
  • Conversant with common scripting languages (powershell) required to automate end user technologies systems
  • Application and hardware experience associated with end user technologies platforms.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas in user friendly language
  • A desire to grow and develop yourself and others
