We are looking to increase our highly skilled team of Senior Software Engineers who are passionate about creating products that consumers love. You will join our product development team in Sydney. This is a unique opportunity to join a world leader in e-commerce and directly impact the lives of a global population while having fun, working on interesting and sophisticated projects.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, architecture, implementation and maintenance of our applications.
  • Deliver exciting features or changes from inception to release, by writing exemplary code.
  • Own, be driven and empowered for technical product direction
  • Interact directly with local and remote engineers, Product Management, Design and QA as part of a cohesive team.
  • Bring your ideas and talent into feature design, implementation and testing ensuring a high-quality product.
  • Work with other developers to ensure that the applications are delivered in a timely, high-quality manner today, while laying the foundation and setting direction for our future.
  • Provide training and insight into development for other developers in the team.
  • Requirements

  • Collaborative Java development experience including code reviewing.
  • First-rate architectural design, coding and debugging skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. You must be comfortable in small and large groups and interacting with senior executives.
  • Flexible problem solving ability. You must find pragmatic solutions in a dynamic environment every day with a strong customer-centric focus.
  • Agile mindset, a strong desire for quality, testing, and automation.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience in development & production releases of Java applications.
  • 5+ years development experience specifically with Java.
  • Node JS knowledge is an advantage.
  • Spring / Spring boot experience helpful.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers as well as collaborating with peers.
  • You are inspirational, you bring the whole team with you to a higher level of technical performance.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken and confident communicating with international teams.
  • Please note on this occasion, to be eligible for this position you must hold unrestricted working rights for Australia and be eligible to work in Australia without requiring company sponsorship.
