Job Description

This organisation is a leader in the construction and mining services industry. They are looking to expand their team and are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources professional to partner with their business. The business predominantly supports operations on the east coast but also has involvement in projects across Australia as well as abroad.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Establishing sound relationships and engaging with key stakeholders within the business
  • Oversee the workforce planning function and manage staffing levels in conjunction with recruitment requirements.
  • Recommending and delivering HR strategies and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention
  • Drive internal communications, undertake HR reporting and analytics
  • Provide HR advice, direction and consultation to the business across all areas of HR including the Fair Work Act and the provision of advice around awards and workplace legislation.
  • Communicate HR policies and procedures and review where necessary
  • Actively promote a positive and consultative HR style to the broader business
  • Participate and contribute as a change champion within the business in line with the business, growth and change strategies.
  • Draft reports, analysis, discussion papers, policies and procedures and recommendations
  • Drive and deliver on HR projects for the business, supporting the Head of HR
  • Provide direction to the HR Officer and other ad hoc duties

    • About you:

    You will have considerable generalist experience, strong relationship building skills and strong coaching and influencing skills. You will be pragmatic and outcome orientated. Experience working in the construction, mining, manufacturing or engineering field will be highly regarded. Your tertiary qualifications will provide you with the skills and experience to create value for the business.
