The successful candidate will be responsible for sales processes and following up closely with new & existing customers in the growing market of Metals and Minerals. You will manage relationships with our current distribution network and develop new distributors where required. The position is located in Perth with key responsibilities to the Metals and Minerals market, Downstream and Chemicals market within Western Australia. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Visiting customers and negotiating orders for Neles valves and process control products in the Mining & Metals sector

  • Ensuring quotations for our agents and customers align with the division’s strategy and other set guidelines.

  • To be in charge of the post-quotation technical clarifications and correspondence;

  • Review contracts and purchase orders as per the set procedures by the department head;

  • Obtain valve and any additional technical information from the end-user or vendor required to complete quotations and orders;

  • Prepare supporting documentation for quotations when necessary;

  • Attend to daily requests of customers’ sales & services;

  • Build positive and sustainable relationships with customers;

  • Support the team to ensure all duties and tasks are performed within the set parameters.

  • Build brand reputation in the designated market

  • Engage an active customer base and ensure growth targets.

  • Requirements

    What we’ll need from you is to be a self-starter who is motivated, professional and approachable. To be successful in the role, you will have 

  • A degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering or instrumentation or a suitable qualification is preferred;

  • At least three years of relevant experience in technical sales to the Mining & Metals industry

  • Valves and/or process automated system experience is preferred;

  • A strong work ethic with a positive working attitude and the desire to achieve great results;

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
