The Opportunity
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an experienced (Software Licencing Specialist) Category Specialist to join our team and support our growth on a Permanent Full-Time basis. As a Category Specialist with expertise in Technology Procurement, you will work closely with all facets of the business to deliver maximum business value for our members. Your main responsibilities will include managing a wide range of software licensing and products used throughout the enterprise, negotiating with key suppliers to provide cost-effective solutions, and actively managing contract and commercial initiatives to ensure business outcomes are realized.
About You
The (Software Licencing Specialist) Category Specialist – Technology role resides in the Procurement function and is accountable for ensuring that all software licensing contracts, renewals and updates are appropriately managed to deliver contracted services and provide the optimal cost benefit to HBF. Some of the main duties include the following:
• Manage contract and commercial initiatives and renewals to ensure business outcomes are realised
• Actively identify and manage business risks and ensure all risk management and compliance obligations are adhered to
• Building strong working relationships with senior business and ITS stakeholders to understand business requirements
• Defining and negotiating effective SLAs, KPIs, OLAs, contracts and variations
• Providing guidance to business and ITS stakeholders so service and supplier selection aligns with overall IT supplier strategy
• Working with the procurement team and the business owners with the negotiation of contracts
• Maintain compliance within APRA Regulations
• Negotiate and manage key suppliers and IT contracts to ensure agreed services are delivered and continuously improved to provide optimal value at all times
• Lead contract negotiations and engage all stakeholders to ensure contracts include appropriate risk domain clauses (e.g., cyber and privacy clauses)
• Identify, register, and manage business and commercial risks
• Report budget and supplier spend activity to key stakeholders
Overall, this role will require you to be a strategic thinker, a skilled negotiator, and an effective communicator. Your ability to manage risks, build strong relationships, and deliver cost-effective solutions will be essential to the success of the organization.
