What you'll do:

• You will contribute to the design and the implementation of a platform of internal tools supporting a variety of stakeholders within Sky, to improve reliability and performance of Sky’s flagship media products
• You will work closely with colleagues responsible for the data services and analytics that allow us to understand and monitor what is happening in customer homes in the most efficient and proactive way
• You will bring your own ideas to the table, explore new technologies, engage in teaching sessions to improve your own skills, ultimately helping to improve the quality of the Sky experience for our customers.
• Participate in the full software life cycle, including support and continuous integration
• Have plenty of opportunity to learn new things, as well as coaching and mentoring others

What you'll bring:

• Proven track record in software development (5+ years of commercial experience)
• 6+ months hands-on experience on Google Cloud Platform serverless architecture (or other cloud platform such as AWS or Azure)
• Strong Python 3 skills (knowledge of Django framework is also advantageous)
• Experience in developing REST APIs
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (hands-on experience on Jenkins is a plus) in an agile environment
• Ideally have experience working in a Big Data environment
• Ideally have hands on experience with Node.js, React.js, SQL and NoSQL databases
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
