What will your typical day look like?
As a Manager in Quality and Risk, you will provide risk insight and oversight to the Tax and Legal business on a broad range of issues daily. Your work will be varied and will offer you great opportunities to develop your risk management, relationship, and technical skills. Expect every day to be different and fast paced. You may be providing risk insight over a complex client or engagement acceptance matters whilst also providing risk insight into the deployment of new technology platforms and tools, regulatory matters, or new product offerings.You will work closely with many stakeholders such as the Tax and Legal partners and engagement teams, Office of General Counsel, Privacy Office and the Independence and Conflicts team. You will be challenged to learn something new every day with support from the team which you will be a key member of. About the team Our National team of Quality and Risk professionals is responsible for protecting and enhancing the Deloitte brand by supporting practitioners dedicated to helping our clients solve their most complex problems.The quality and risk team is highly regarded by the business and you will gave wide scope to work with stakeholders at all levels (ie from Analyst through to Partner) as you assist them to find solutions to the issues they are facing. Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone who: Has 5 years+ in a Risk Management role within a commercial organisation and/or Tax and Legal professional experience within a Big 4 Qualifications in accounting, risk management and/or law A desire to progress a career as a risk management professional Has strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in an agile environment Possesses excellent skills in building relationships across a range of stakeholders and functions Is resilient and able to deal with conflict and difficult conversations and situations Is flexible with daily task management to cater for the highest priority business needs on any given day Is self-driven, self-motivated and is a continuous learner Has an interest and experience with coaching and supervising more junior staff Can work in a team environment and collaborate for the benefit of the team A natural curiosity and desire to learn and understand the business context of your work Reasonably proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
