We are currently on the hunt for Event Day Casual Hospitality Attendants

Leading into the AFL Season our Adelaide Oval Hospitality teams have a number of exciting event day casual roles in Kiosk and Bars, Corporate and Functions. Don’t get benched, these departments play in very different fields, so be sure to work with your strengths and choose the right team to ‘kick goals’ with.

These casual positions offer minimum shifts from 3 hours on major event and game days perfect for someone looking for some casual work to make a bit of extra cash. Check the ‘What’s on’ section on our website to ensure you can service the line up of entertainment coming to Adelaide Oval.

About the roles

Event Day Kiosk & Bar Attendants:  If you are experienced, speedy, well-organised and reliable, this is the role for you! Ideal candidates must have the ability and desire to go above & beyond, be able to multi-task, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and approach and be a team player. 

This role would particularly suit someone with any of the below:

Fast Food & Kiosk experience

Bar experience

Barista experience

Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:

Front of house experience in the hospitality industry

Fryer and food preparation experience

A passion for providing exceptional customer service

Understanding of OH&S and food safety practices

Bar experience

Barista experience

POS and EFTPOS experience

Event Day Bar & Wait Attendants – Function and Corporate Facilities: Ian McLachlan, William Magarey, Leigh do these names ring a bell? Our prestigious function rooms and corporate spaces have a history to be upheld and deserve the finest experience you can deliver. If you are a master of carrying three plates, can set a room to the finest detail, and can use your customer service skills to win over the crowd no matter who the player is, then polish up those boots and join the Corporate/F&E team.

This role would particularly suit someone with:

High end or corporate clientele exposure

Table waiting, bar and barista experience

Exceptional customer service

Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:

Front of house experience in the hospitality industry

A passion for providing exceptional customer service

Previous experience in corporate suite hosting, bar or functions experience

Ability to work as part of a team

Have excellent attention to detail

POS and EFTPOS experience

About your Application

To be successful you will have:

Availability to work all major event events at Adelaide Oval. This requires ‘after hours’ and weekend work. AFL in winter, Cricket in summer and any major events in between!

A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate is required, if 18 years and over.

Strong work ethic and a passion for working in hospitality.

Excellent personal presentation and customer service.

Ability to maintain high workloads and meet deadlines within specified time frames.

The ability to work under pressure in fast paced environments.

Fun, can do attitude, coupled with excellent communication and listening skills.

Ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues, and contribute as a team player

Proven record of reliability, punctuality and consistency.
