JobDescription:
TheCommunications Adviser supports the delivery of communications,campaigns and services to assist the Department for Education andstate government to meet goals and objectives.
Theposition develops and delivers communications plans, content andmaterials for a range of internal and external channels, workingcollaboratively with Communications Leads, subject matter experts,stakeholders and specialist channel leads in media, social media,online and creative services.
Theposition works within a broader team that provides communications,media and online services for the department and its schools,preschools and services across South Australia. Within thiscontext, the position needs to demonstrate a high level ofcollaboration, responsiveness, flexibility, resilience andcustomer-focused service that responds to a diverse audience andconstantly changing priorities.
Workingwithin a fast-paced environment, the position needs to be adaptableand able to work across multiple projects, priorities and businessareas, effectively and with a strong focus on innovation andcontinuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, publicrelations or related discipline and/or relevant experience in theseareas.
SpecialConditions:
Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect -Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course orthe online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to beupdated every three years.
