Mental Health Clinician (ot/ Sw/ Rn/ Psych) – Aged Care – Northern Melbourne Vic

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Mental Health Clinician for a new aged care role in Melbourne’s north.

In this role, you will provide 1:1 and group-based mental health support to older adults with mild to moderate mental illness. Work with other clinicians in the team in a predominantly clinic-based setting with work from home options available. Your main duties will include and are not limited to:

– Clinical Triage of new referrals
– 1:1 mental health support and short-term case management
– Delivery of therapeutic support

This is an initial 2-3 month locum role, working full-time or part-time. An immediate start is also available!

About You:

– Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Psychology, or Social Work and relevant registration
– Demonstrated clinical experience in working with older adults in mental health settings
– Demonstrated capacity for working in a multidisciplinary team with an ability to build and maintain an effective working relationship
– A commitment to providing a high level of care within a recovery model
– Excellent knowledge of frameworks and therapies relevant to your discipline, family therapy, narrative therapy, and MOHO
– Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
– Sound working knowledge and understanding of diversity inclusive and person centred practices
– National Police check
– Working with Children’s check
– Current full or probationary drivers licence
– Professional registration
– Eligible to work permanently in Australia
