To support and assess product development requests, dry goods compatibility and compatibility of packaging equipment. To assess plant and equipment capability to improve efficiency across our packaging sites in line with commercial and operational requirements. To act as the packaging expert and provide expertise and advice to the operations and our customers.
A day in the life of a Packaging Technologist @ Endeavour….
Understand packaging machine capabilities across all lines/sites and suitability for new products and packaging materials entering our business. Provide packaging quality expertise to support product development and capability Assess new or changed products/materials and document results in an organised and accessible manner. Coordinate efficient testing, trialling and validation of new packaging and products and ensure correct reporting of investigations to appropriate parties Lead & apply new and innovative business strategies and projects, delivering on our sustainability commitments Provide and maintain any tools to support new product development, operational teams, sales and customers Proactively lead the investigation to identify root cause and implement changes of bottling quality issues which may include customer supplied packaging materials and internal processes. Work with Industry to drive alternate sustainable packaging opportunities Support sustainable packaging initiatives through product development Recommend and implement appropriate solutions to quality issues relating to dry goods materials Support project teams with packaging projects and improvements Support packaging operations across Pinnacle owned packaging sites Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environmental policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working
What you’ll need to succeed
Ability to analyse data and identify problems Ability to deliver and understand, regulatory product specification details Experience in the development and re-engineering of packaging processes Team leadership and people skills and the ability to build strong working relationships Investment in continuous improvement Effective communication and presentation skills Customer focused, treat people with respect, inclusive, collaborative and flexible approach Willing to challenge status quo Can act as the intermediary between the business, suppliers and Customer Engages and gains confidence of stakeholders Effective time management and personal organisation skills Sound administrative skills and good analytical and reporting abilities Oversee the implementation of process change What’s in it for you?
