Senior Systems Engineer (human Systems Integration)

Your responsibilities will include

:

Review FPS, CSSS, Subsystem specifications from a HSI perspective.

Develop and update HSI related requirements (all levels)

Review of Impact Assessments (ECP related material) and assess impact to HSI (design and activities)

Development of validation and verification plans for HSI requirements

Attend WGs, take and develop minutes etc.

Develop and/or update HSI reports/documentation

Identify subsystem requirements and limitations affecting HSI proposed designs.

Support the HSI lead (admin, actions etc.)

Support design/integration as required (HW design specifically)

About you:

To be successful in securing this position, you will have:

Significant (5+ years) experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including: requirements definition and analysis methods; test and integration.

Past exposure in the Integration, Test and Evaluation of CS Products into Naval Platforms or equivalent complex Military Systems having challenging constraints.

Significant experience in risk identification & mitigation practices, including seeking opportunities for continuous business improvement.

Familiarity with DOORS.

Good understanding of the Engineering Change process

Understanding and interpretation of Hardware Drawings

Basic working knowledge or demonstrable understanding in Human Systems Integration in a defence maritime environment.

Tertiary education qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution and/or relevant experience within the Defence sector.

Strong communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to develop/publish high-quality artefacts

Significant experience working with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders and partnering organisations to achieve common goals.

Eligibility to hold both an Australian NV-1 security clearance and access/handle ITAR controlled technology, data and information.

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.
