JobDescription:

TheSenior Analyst Programmer, ICT Application Services is responsibleto the Team Leader, Application Development for the design,delivery, and maintenance of software solutions to meet businessrequirements.

KeyOutcomes

  • The Senior Analyst Programmer controls, coordinates and undertakes a range of ICT Services functions in the support and enhancement of departmental systems and the integration and delivery of modern, world-class technical solutions.
  • The Senior Analyst Programmer contributs to the development/adoption of new techniques and methodologies that support policy development and implementation, in relation to the acquisition, integration and support of ICT application systems.
  • The Senior Analyst Programmer provides expert advice on a range of ICT Services functions that support policy development and directorate objectives, in relation to the acquisition, integration and support of ICT application systems.
  • The Senior Analyst Programmer leads application development projects within ICT Services to meet defined outcomes.
  • The Senior Analyst Programmer works with other developers and business units to propose high quality system solutions to meet business goals
  • The Senior Analyst Programmer provides support including analysis, development, testing and code review for multiple bespoke applications

  • Proven ability to identify and analyse problems and to design, maintain and integrate practical solutions within the constraints of existing software development frameworks and standards and, where applicable, provide input into the improvement of those processes and standards to support the integration and delivery of modern, world-class technical solutions.
  • Proven commitment to the provision of customer service and quality management including high level communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate and liaise effectively to achieve improved outcomes for our customers.
  • Proven ability to proactively determine and negotiate priorities and manage time effectively to meet defined outcomes and timelines while working under broad parameters with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in ICT application systems analysis, design and development lifecycle, methodologies and techniques coupled with sound knowledge and understanding of the need for and a commitment to the use of standards in all areas of ICT application system development and support.
  • Proven ability to work under broad policy guidelines, exercise significant levels of initiative, independent judgement, and delegated authority to determine goals and priorities for programs and projects of critical importance to the agency within the framework of the corporate objectives.
  • Proven experience in the structured analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation of enterprise ICT application systems using Classic ASP and ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server, Angular and related development tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive work environment, and the legislative requirements of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety legislation.
  • Qualifications:

    Essential: An appropriate degree or diploma with significant computing contentand/or relevant industry experience


    Special Conditions:

    Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect -Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course orthe online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to beupdated every three years.

    Remuneration:

    ASO6:$95,588 – $101,109
