About the role
We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician based in Perth, WA. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise. This role will require dedication to service excellence and the technical skills needed to support a large user base on Windows 10, Office 365 and related applications and technologies. The role will also involve travel to other offices which are part of the overall program of work.
Key responsibilities
- Resolving incidents escalated from the Service Desk
- Implementation and support of Windows-based systems
- Building, deploying and supporting desktop computing resources.
- Providing 1st and 2nd level face-to-face and remote support, across a broad technology landscape including the Microsoft suite – O365, Teams and SharePoint, Meeting Room Collaboration, Print, and varied SAS applications
- Supporting BYOD client and partner devises within the Laing O’Rourke office
- Maintaining a secure IT environment by monitoring and reporting security breaches and any unauthorised data access
About you
This role will suit someone with an established background in IT Support with 3+ years’ experience looking to take the next step. You will have a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and a drive to learn. Your investigative skills will be excellent with a strong focus on structured troubleshooting and diagnostics.
A current driver’s license is essential in this role and be given access to a vehicle where required.
- High-level Windows 10 support
- Application support, including Office 365
- Mobile telephony support – iPhone and Android
- MDM experience – MS InTune preferred
- Exposure to Active Directory
- Support of Sharepoint/Sharepoint online
- Documentation and knowledge sharing
- The ability to “step up” and work with senior project leadership, our important clients and partners as well as willingness to “step down” and provide first-level support to on-site users.
- Experience with SCCM and/or Cisco video conferencing is an advantage.
