Chef/Cook

Work across MACq 01 Hotel and The Henry Jones Art Hotel, experiencing all our kitchens and learn new skills from each!

As we operate as the ‘Hunter Street Precinct’, you can expect a variety to your work week with shifts across The Henry Jones Art Hotel and MACq 01 Hotel. You will be working alongside some of the industry’s best chefs. Our venues include Old Wharf Restaurant, Landscape Restaurant and Grill, Peacock and Jones and our Conference and Events area.

Reporting to the Head Chef of each restaurant, your overall responsibility will be helping to connect our guests with the stories of Tasmania and create memorable experiences through our food. Creativity, strong work ethic, and technical abilities will make you a perfect fit for our team.

You will bring innovation, collaboration, and excitement to share and try new ideas, as well as:

Experience working in a similar kitchen environment

Working with quality, local produce (min. 2 years)

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and days

Motivation and enthusiasm for contemporary cooking

Excellent personal presentation and ability to communicate and work directly with guests

Desire to ensure guests’ needs are met and expectations exceeded
