Full time ongoing

Monday to Friday (2pm – 10pm)

This position is based in Dandenong South

Recent graduates with university/TAFE lab experience encouraged to apply

This role will be in the section of Water Splitting, which you will be responsible for but not limited to, assisting the laboratory function by ensuring all samples are appropriately received, logged, prepared and analysed in a timely manner while assisting with various other laboratory duties, to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the role will focus on:

Receive and log in samples accurately

Prepare samples for analysis by mixing, splitting, blending and weighing, in accordance with sample/analysis requirements and preparation methods.

Perform routine analysis, validations and project work in an efficient and effective manner.

Ensure external and internal clients’ requirements are met / exceeded.

Ensure efficient utilisation of laboratory materials.

Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment/instruments as required.

Qualifications

Certificate / Diploma in Laboratory Techniques; or equivalent qualification; or significant laboratory experience.

About You

To be successful for this position, you will need to demonstrate the following qualities and characteristics:

Experience in a commercial laboratory will be an advantage.

Experience working in a fast paced environment.

Knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

On the job training will be provided, along with the use of our systems and programs. Previous exposure to a warehouse or laboratory environment would hold you in good stead, however our successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
